Motherhood

Im a mom now. I have a two and a half week old baby girl. She is the most precious thing ever. I knew motherhood was going to be hard but I didnt know it was going to be this hard. Im running on little to no sleep. I cry occasionally because Im so tired and I have realized my day is no longer MY day. It is focused and centered around her. Change can be hard. At the same time I knew I was going to love my little girl but I had no idea I could love her as much as I do. When Stella was born I didnt get to hold her right away since I had to be stitched up. It was about an hour and a half after she was born I finally got to hold her. I feel in love with her instantly. I knew she was going to change me and my life for the better. She makes me want to be a better person. I feel so blessed to be her mom.

Oh baby!

You guys I really love the baby's room. Its simple just how I wanted it. Oh and can we please talk about the quilt my mom made. I LOVE it. The colors are perfect and beautiful. The picture doesn't do it justice.
I went to my 36 week check up today. The news I got did not come as a surprise. The baby is breech and has been for over two months now. I knew the possibility for a c-section was good but as of today it is a definite yes. She is sitting so low that there is no way the doctor can flip her. So at 39 weeks Ill be having a c-section. We didn't make an appointment since the doctor my midwife works with was out of the office but we will be making one next week. At first I was terrified and upset but over the past couple of months I have realized the most important thing is that she has a safe delivery. If that means a c-section than so be it. I guess Ill be getting my October baby after all!

Ive had a couple of friends ask me for an updated picture of my bump so here it is. I know, Im huge. Every part of my body as at least doubled in size. Im not kidding. Im 30 weeks along and I feel like Ive been pregnant FOREVER! I cant wait to meet this little girl but as excited as I am...I also feel ten times more terrified. Is that normal? Sometimes I dont feel like Im old enough, mature enough, responsible enough, unselfish enough, etc to take care of someone.
On another note Nick and I finally moved into our apartment last weekend! We love it. I miss having my mom around all day but I am getting use to it. We are also so excited to be close to one of my sisters. Nick is loving his job and it keeps him busy. Im still working on decorating the apartment and the babys room needs a lot of work. As soon as its done I plan on posting some pictures.

Its been awhile...

Guys its been a while since Ive posted...five months to be exact. I have a million excuses but I wont bore you with them. Instead Ill do a quick update on our lives and try to be better at blogging. Since Ive blogged Nick and I moved to Ardmore, OK for his last rotation. While in Ardmore we found out I was pregnant! What!? Crazy, I know. Me, a mom. The beginning of May we moved back to WA and into my parents basement. Late May Nick graduated! Yay! We recently found out our baby is a girl! So so so happy about this! And a couple of days ago Nick received and accepted an awesome job offer in Kennewick, WA and should be starting in the next week or two. We are so excited! We are hoping to find an apartment in Tri Cities sometime in July.

Do you see that cute little bum? Shes definitely a girl!

Blog block

I have a hard time blogging. I think blogs should be full of pictures. Pictures are usually better than words. Well after I spend a good amount of time in the bathroom curling my hair, putting on make-up and then picking out a cute outfit I figure...this should work. So when the hubby and I go out to get yogurt you would think I could post a cute picture of us together, right? That way I can keep my resolution and blog about SOMETHING this week! Wrong. I look at the picture  and think to myself...ugh, why did I leave the house looking like that? True story. So here is a super cute picture of Nick. He loves his yogurt.

P.S. Im working on a little craft for my house. I currently have a love/hate relationship with it right now. I know it will be cute, but its hard work. Hopefully next weeks post will be the finished product.

Cinderellas Castle

Nick and I decided a couple of weeks ago we needed a little fun in our lives. Nick spends his days at work or studying...literally. Hes busy. I spend my days at home wishing he was around more. Well we found out last Thursday he passed his second board exam and decided we were going to celebrate. So we took off to Orlando Friday after work. We woke up early on Saturday morning to go to the temple and...well...it was closed. We were so disappointed. Not to let a little detail get us down off we went to Disney World! It was so much fun. By the end of the day I was exhausted and I had four blisters and Nick was tired of me complaining. I guess my cute gold shoes weren't a good idea. It was a fantastic little trip and it was just what we needed. Heres a few pictures from our trip.

                                                                                 the temple

                                                      Cinderellas castle. 80 degrees...what a perfect day!
Buzz Light Year! I'm concentrating really hard. I still lost.

New Year

Happy New Year everyone! Nick and I had a great Christmas and New Year. We were stuck in Florida all by ourselves but we made the best of it. I desperately missed my family and Washington but I know we will be there next year. Although this year has been a rough start I know it will only get better. More about that later... Ive made a couple of resolutions this year and I hope to keep them. One of them being blog at least once a week! Heres to a new year!
